School of Biology Residency @ Newcastle University

I have been lucky enough to gain access to the School of Biology at Newcastle University. The images below are of a variety of plant and algal specimens that I have photographed using a microscope. This technology has allowed me to explore the physical structures of these specimens. In turn these images have been used in a variety of media to disseminate my work to a wider audience. Whether it be through laser cutting and etching, fashion textiles, jewellery, digital or 3D printing techniques. The images have proved to be extremely versatile and fascinating to work with. You can see some of the applications that I have used on my siter blog Powder Butterfly.
